SER1 1950 doortops

I am tidying up the doortops on my 1950 80 in.

Did I see a post on this list about polishing the perspex  some time ago?

Was any form of seal used between the front of the fixed piece of perspex
and the door frame?  From my parts book, it looks as if the front edge just
sits there, without seal or retainer.
