Hi Mark,

Eh….The conversion was relatively simple,
1 take the new cylinder, and take it apart.
2 drill the holes in the casing to a bigger size and then rethreaded
them with the proper threads.
(I made a mistake with assuming that the treads used on the brake system
were metric size. They ARE NOT!!!)
So you have to use English treads, (witch were very expensive to buy
over here.)
4 Put back guts of the master cylinder after you’ve rethreaded the two
holes. You have to replace the push rod from the new master cylinder
with the one from the old.
The one from the new one is to long.
5 You also have to drill 2 new holes in the chassis-plate where the
master cylinder is mounted.
Remember to use special brake “paste” when you put the brake parts togther.

But…….I’ve replaced the master and the brake cylinders and the rubber
hoses. I also had to replace some of the pipes, witch were damaged by
dismantling the old master cylinder.
Its all put together on my car, but I have a little nagging problem with
air in my brake system. Until now I did try to bleed the brakes once,
but I was not able to get rid of all the air. I do not have any fluids
leaking.
I have tried leaving the car with its nose up, as suggested by some of
the mail group readers, but until now I’ve no success.

If you do not have the proper tools, I can make a converted cylinder for
you, if you wish so.

Greetings from Holland,

Coen
