SER1 2 1/4 petrol question

Hi all,

Sorry this is a S2 question! I travel the same way to work every day,
going up the same hill. Normally my 2 1/4 petrol engined 88 goes up the
hill at a steady 40 MPH, but just last week started to drop to 37-38
MPH, and now this week is only doing 35 MPH. I have not done anything to
the vehicle which could affect the speed like adjust the brakes etc. I
have checked the vac advance pipe and cleaned up the rotor arm which was
a bit grubby, but I am baffled by this loss of power? The engine sounds
perfectly sweet at normal tickover, and runs along on flat roads just
fine, she just loses power on hills - any suggestions gratefully
accepted....
