I have no need of supposition, as these have been thoroughy tested off
road and on. I have found that the blade will deform before the frame horn
which is why I use 3/16 for the body of the bumper. It takes quite an impact
though. You are welcome to test this for yourself if you like. These are much
stronger than the flimsy stock ones which bend in a stiff breeze, but they
still look original. No royalties, I have no affiliation with Marsland or
Richards. Feel free to ask any more quesions you might have. Hope your 80 is
doing well.
