Yes, what a shame Diana! Maybe they do a similar scheme in Oz?
It was never well known or advertised for obvious reasons I suppose. I first
spotted them in a Land Rover main dealer's parts dept 10 to 15 years ago and
they confirmed the scheme worked. That was the deal when I first got mine
and it has always been honoured. As far as I know it hasn't been changed,
but I think they have recently been taken over by Caterpillar Tractors
(USA), somehow all being connected with the demise of Rover/MG so who
knows!. Also, the batteries I have were made in UK. I have heard they are
now imported but still made by Exide.
