Hi Charlie,
No, I am not talking about backlash. And since yesterday I have had furhter
enlightments. I had ordered the thinnest ones (0.040") and at night thought
of measuring their thickness. It turned out that I got the thickest ones
sent (0.050")and they put a "preload" on the differential wheels that
noticeably increases the resistance when turning them. Hoping now that the
supplier can quickly resend me the ones ordered I think the problem might be
solved.
Mit freundlichen Grüssen/Best regards
Ulrico Becker

G'day Ulrico,
Four Wheel drives in Melbourne have the thrust washers in three different
thicknesses. I bought all three when I did mine, they are not very
expensive.
You mention end-float. Do you mean backlash? All the wheels need is a
minimum of backlash according to the book.
Cheers Charlie
