Hi Mark,

I think most would be cautious to advise against pinning the new king pins 
in.

The Land Rover is over-engineered; even so Rover was keen to save a buck 
where it could in the 1950s. If these pins were dispensable in the design, 
Rover would have omitted them.

Put them in  - stay safe.
