Paul

If it is just the head and carb that have been changed and the original =
block is still fitted, then you should have an engine number something =
like 111700???. If that is the case you can simply get a head, inlet =
manifold and Solex carby from any series 1 engine as there are only =
minimal differences between most of the series 1 heads. Although I =
would stay away from the heads from very early 1948 1.6 Lt as they can =
be identified by a missing web adjacent cylinder number 1.

If your engine number is in a different sequence then you will need to =
let us know the engine number so we can tell you if it's a Land Rover or =
Rover car engine.

Cheers

Hi there all over the world !
My name is Paul van Houten from Holland and I just started restoring a =
Series 1 109
Chassis number 121700382
Engine factory overhauld.

The engine is equipped with a SU carburettor, mounted on an inlet =
manifold which is integrated in the Aluminum cylinder head.

I went through a lot of books to find a picture of such an engine, =
without result.

I am sure that one of you can help me out=20
Best regards, Paul
