SER1 Diesel 80 inchers

Ike,

I know, or rather knew of two 80's with diesel engines, one a 1949/50 was
restored in Devon by Lee Smeardon and had a landrover 2.2 fitted, went
fairly well not sure quite which S2 bits he used in the conversion, the
other was a 52/53 fitted with a Perkins Prima (ex austin maestro) this was
done by Jon Howe, this is a brilliant conversion. 

John is currently driving a "new" 88 fitted with a similar engine and has
been known to make conversion plates for others.
