[Templates] Passing params

I am coming from the CGI-Application camp where I would define a param and
pass that as the page to process. I would like to do the same in TT. I would
like to have one "main" cgi script that reads the ?pid=something and
processes those vars.

Another thought would be, is that a good way to do things in TT? Right now I
have a separate cgi for each page I have but the potential is for this to be
a rather large web application.
