That's not exactly inflating, I think.

You could achieve that with a simple accessor override, return 'yes' if 
the stored value is 1 and 'no' if the stored value is 0, rather than 
simply returning the stored value.

However, I'm not quite sure how to override an accessor, since they are 
actually created in your class, not a parent, so "override" is not 
really the right term here.  (I'm still new to CDBI.)
