Thanks to all for your contributions so far.

search({1 =3D> 1}...) should work (although because it's Friday afternoo=
n, won't work for me - I get "1 is not a column of..."), and third party=
 modules (e.g. Class::DBI::Plugin::Pager as Dave says) implement this ha=
ck at present. But is ultimately a workaround for the aforementioned lim=
itation in CDBI.

A patch to search() (or rather, =5Fdo=5Fsearch()) would be a better solu=
tion. The ability to pass an empty hash to search() is logical and would=
 take only a couple of extra lines of code to implement. It makes a lot =
more sense to fix it in CDBI rather than have Perrin, myself and everyon=
e who wants to search without criteria having to resort to a custom subc=
lass containing a hack, however minor.
