Thanks Perrin, that makes more sense.
Although I agree the RPM is ancient, I've been telling them that the =
real problem is they installed from RPM and now think nothing could =
possibly be wrong as the RPM installed without an error :)..

It's always possible to change things in the source, but it seems very
unlikely they would have done this for the error log message. More =
likely it
is installed but not configured to actually be loaded when the server =
starts
up.
