Hi Tom,
Check out http://www.relaisnordik.com/en/home/242.cfm. The only obvious
change I can see from '95 is that the old bucket is now operated by
Transport Desgagnes and has a new paint job. There's a photo of a car
being swung aboard in one of their old 'open-end' containers, and quick
profiles of the ports-of-call. On the return we could go as far as
Rimouski, which would further reduce the road miles. Of course, we'd have
to schedule backwards if the ship part is last, so the argument could
still be made for an east-west loop, but I think it would be better to
allow some time west-east that could be 'burned off' in Newfoundland if
there are no problems enroute.
