looks like a 10 hour trip for under $120.00 (car & driver)

I like the idea of taking the slow boat from blanc sablon

I did not realize there was a cargo option for the Rovers. We'll have to 
  investigate further
That would certainly shave off a large portion of road mileage and time.
And the St lawrence north shore is rather spectacular from a scenic 
point. This would also mke the trip feasible in a 2 week timeframe.
