The gearbox cross-member is more often the one that has to be replaced and
certainly the series 1 and 2/3 are interchangeable, so I can see no reason for
the next cross-member not also to be the same. I have an old series 2 chasssis
next to a series 1 at the moment, so I will measure the two and tell you whether
they are similar.
I used to buy quite alot of parts from Paddocks for series 2 and 2A and never had
any problems, but I don't think I was ever in a hurry.
