I disagree. Were I riding a horse, and I wished to take a swipe at someone 
coming the other way, my sword would be hung on my left, and I would reach 
over with my right arm, draw it across myself, and either swing to hit the 
oncoming chap with a continuation of that stroke, or draw it back and hit him 
with a forward stroke. To draw to the right and then strike someone passing 
on the left seem to me much harder.

I'm very glad there's noone else in the room to watch me trying all this out 
on my chair.
