My understanding of this (from Tony hutchings book) was that the art work is 
heavily retouched photos of the prototype, hence the shapes and dimensions 
look odd.  The hinges are correct for early prepro.  I'm on a course away from 
home and all my reference books, but I'll try to find out more concrete 
details over the weekend.

Interestingly (though not relavent to this) how many people know that some of 
the prepro models had three horizontal push-pull controls through the 
dash/bulkhead to control the low/high transfer ratios instead of the red lever 
+  ring pull/ yellow button.

Isn't it great to see these early brochures surfacing!
