Hi Cameron,

It is possible to buy a cheap plastic tool from an art and craft shop. They
are designed for cutting card or fabric and it is only the size of an old
school compass. One end is pointed and the other has an adjustable arm with
a sharp renewable blade like a craft knife. You can make yourself neat
circular gaskets all day long in cork or rubber up to about 1/4 inch thick
with no problem. Mine will cut circles from 1/2 inch to 6 inch diameter.
It's called an Olfa Rotary Circle Cutter and is illustrated on this page
http://www.cottonpatch.co.uk/acatalog/Cutters.html It comes with spare
blades.

My kids also used to make their own Christmas present tags by cutting
circles out of the pictures on old Christmas cards.

Regards
Martin

    G'Day Cameron,
They may well be available in the UK. Try the usual suppliers.
Alternatively make one yourself from neoprene cork sheeting (1/16" thick)
which should be abvailable from automotive parts suppliers. Rubber sheeting
will often react with fuel and not last for long.
If you get hold of a pair of engineers dividers and sharpen one end to a
blade, leaving the other as a point, you will have a nice tool for making
round gaskets in all sorts of sizes.
    Cheers
