Hello Diana,

I am sorry for a late reply but I don't always find the time to answer my
private e-mails everyday.

Driving around would be nice but I think that there would be a lot of work
involved to fire it up again so that I decided to start to dismantle it
straight away.

I don't fear the gearbox, I have refurbished a few series boxes already and
when I bought the 80 incher it came with a generous spares package: another
gearbox, a second tub, a pair of wings and and a brand new hood. So I
believe it should be possible to make at least one good one out of the two.

As I said the chassis seems quite ok and the panel work within the range of
what I can do.

I fear most the availability of axle parts to put them really into a
pristine condition.

As for the engine, once the body parts are taken off I plan to take the
cylinder head off, measure the bores and take it from there on. I don't
think I will try to start the engine at this point in time. Should it be
beyond ercuperation I will switch to a 2.25 engine, albeit with tears in my
eyes.

Regards, Ulrico
