Hi Guys,
 
Have to admit to not following the seatbelts thread but quite agree with  
Martin that they're a good idea. I've just fitted them to our '61 3.4  Jaguar and 
feel a lot happier driving with them, and of course for Jaguars you  can get 
the original 'period' type of belt still.
 
Another anecdote is that a 'friend of a friend' died in an R Type  Bentley 
when not wearing a belt. The coroner said that the car stood up to the  head-on 
collision very well, but the the lady passenger just piled into the hard  
wooden dash and I think was killed outright; had she been wearing a belt she  
would probably have been hardly injured.
