The sole purpose for a motorway is for vehicles to travel upon them.  There is no 
benefit for the motorway if you get to your destination.  Some motorway designers 
wanted to design them with on ramps but no off ramps, then you could drive the 
motorways from birth to death.

That is why there are concession restaurants and petrol stations which only service a 
motorway.
