No batsmen "out" for 57 "runs"=20

Each team while batting has to have a pair of batsmen on the field, the =
bowling team has to get 10 batsmen "out" for the sides to change over or =
finish the innings/game.

In a test match there are 2 innings, each side both bowls and bats. The =
team that has the highest run score and has got all the batsmen in the =
other team "out" in both innings wins the game.

So you can have five days of batting and bowling, hundreds of runs for =
both teams and still end up with a draw where no one wins. Does that =
sound like a game that the English would invent?

Yes, while missing the sideline diversions and half time shows of =
American games, cricket, as I recall is a game replete with arcane =
expressions such as "bowling a maiden over, ""silly mid off,"short =
square legs," and the games are fueled with a heady mix of cucumber =
sandwiches and club house tea. Having settled our colonial differences =
some years back, the game is even played in the States with it[s own =
league.
Cheers to both sides represented on the list and Have a good Test=20
