Riaan will tell me if I'm wrong, but I thought Africa was the one =
continent where there is a true mix of both RHD and LHD from country to =
country. The basis being whether they were British or European (French, =
German, Belgian) colonies.

Maybe Riaan should contact member LR80-86FR from the "garage" if he has =
a RHD steering column from the 1950 parts collection, so recently posted =
in the scrap book.

In relation to the US in the late 1980's I was offered a contract to =
work as a Registered Nurse in California. When I contacted a shipping =
agent about taking my Range Rover, which was only a couple of years old =
at that stage, I was told that it would have to be converted to LHD =
within 18 months if I stayed. I don't know if that only applies to =
California but was part of the reason I didn't end up taking up the =
contract.

HI Mathew and All,
....
.... In some ways, it is surprising that a LHD Rover is there in the =
first place, but I am sure there is a story behind it.
Was trying to make light with humor about us wanting your Rover, LHD 80" =
aren't too common here in the US.
