Under their reference number JC157 they offer a rear cross = member for Series I from 1948 till 1957. I have automatically assumed = that this would suit my 1953 vehicle. Am I mistaken here? In "The Legend" I read about a guy called Geoff who produces 80 inch = chassis parts. So, to my understanding there seem to be people around = who produce these parts. however, these parts come without extensions, = hence the question. I have already rebuild a SIIA from scratch and have = used a rear cross member with extensions. It fitted so so and I had to = cut away one side from one extension and move it by about 5 mm. I know the Haynes manual, it has been my favourite bedtime lecture for = months, very much to my wife's regret though... I made a jig from angle = iron and it worked quite well.
