G'Day Brett

I think Main beam and High Beam are the same thing - the other beam is =
Low Beam or "dip". The problem is usually in the switch where wear or =
de-tension of the spring is preventing it from changing contacts. You =
will have to pull the static tube out and check function of the switch.=20

I don't smoke so I can't tell you if it's rich or lean, advanced or =
retarded or even Virginian or Menthol.

Cheers
Diana

Hi folks,

finally engine is running and nearly everything works as it should do. =
Except two things:
Made a wiring connection fault in the steering wheel: only high beam and =
no main beam lights
but that=B4s not so important, I will find the fault ....

More difficult for me as a non-motor-mechanic is the fact, that the car =
smokes very blue also when the engine is warm . Okay, normally that=B4s =
too fat or as you say too rich adjusting of the carb, but as I remeber =
right, the problem is a wrong adjusting of the ignition timing. Correct =
timing and the blue smoke is completly over... this should be a well =
known mistake of unexpierenced LR-mechanics.
Whow can help me and can tell me in simple words how to do and where to =
screw, otherwise Tom Tollefson must do the translation !!

Greetings from Germany
