HI Pierre,

As Allan said, it appears that this winch is missing the bits & brackets 
that are attached to the front of the engine. We have some photos of these

If this particular winch came off a S2 you will need to makes some mods. The 
red winch mounting plate on the S2 is shorter because the bumper is closer 
to the first crossmember on S2 chassis (i.e the dumbirons are shorter). 
Consequently the winch driveshaft from a S2 installation will also be 
shorter (by about 1/2 inch) which will result in the winch drive plate not 
engaging fully with the drive plate attached to the pulley/harmonc balancer.

One of our list members was able to adapt a S2 winch to the S1 chassis - I 
forget who it was, perhaps that person can step in and advise?
