Hello - I am rebuilding my 1955 Land Rover 2 liter engine and was missing
the banjo bolt meter plug ( PN 212023) for the banjo bolt connecting the oil
pipe to the cylinder head. So I ordered one from Dunsfold and found that
the outside diameter of the meter plug is larger than the inside diameter of
the oil hole in the end of the banjo bolt. Therefore, upon installation, I
could not insert the plug into the end of the banjo bolt. Does anyone know
the proper installation procedure for the meter plug? Do you insert the
plug into the cylinder head before screwing in the banjo bolt? If you do,
it appears that the meter plug just lies freely in the oil bore inside the
head. Thank you, Jeff
