    G'Day Adam,
It can be a problem with all poly bushes. The ones in the front of
my (now sold on) Range Rover which had been fitted with poly bushes all
round (it had a very nice tight ride and hadling while they were new)
wore all of the eyes on the front suspension to the point that I had to
fit new original style bushes with Loctite. Guess what, with the new
original style bushes the ride and handling returned. I think that the
reson for the popularity of the poly bushes is mainly that they are easy
to fit (lazy mechanics) and cheaper to make and hence buy.
Suspension bushes are one of those items that slowly degrade and the
ride/handling degrades with them, slowly. When new bushes are fitted,
especially all round, that degradation becomes obvious. Owners may then
blame the style of the bush rather than the fact that they were all
buggered in the first place, ie. give the credit to the poly bushes
rather than to the cause.
    Good luck,
    Allan
