I've had poly bushings in my S2a for the past 7 years.  I just replaced 
them with new ones that came with the parabolics I installed.  The polys 
had some surface cracks but were otherwise in good shape and still 
useable.  I think these were OME poly bushings (yellow) and they were so 
soft that I doubt that they could cause any damage to the frame hole.  
It would appear that the bushing would fail if there were excessive 
forces.
