    G'Day Frank,
    No offence meant, but what happens is that dirt gets in between the 
bush and the hole, the polymer is very good at retaining it and using it 
as a grinding medium.I am not alone in having the problem. I would agree 
that people using leaf springs to achieve long travel etc. may not have 
much choice. Spring eyes have some give in them and may compensate for 
wear but the solid holes in the chassis etc. do not.
