DOT:  Department of Transportation (Now a provincial ministry in BC)

My '57, 88" was originally bright yellow and the story goes that it was a 
chief surveyors/engineers vehicle when the Creston-Salmo Pass was built in 
BC.  The minister in charge at the time was nick-named "Flying Phil 
Gilardi".  There was much highway building going on at that time and this 
vehicle made it into local hands afterwards.  The most recent owner before 
myself used it for hunting.  No winter road salt, but some trapped mud 
corroded some of the frame.  It needed a thourough going through but it 
should be on the road by winter.  I have built several vehicles form the 
ground -up and this is my second Landy.
