    G'Day David,
    The rubber strip is called glazing rubber. It may be available from 
glass suppliers. It is available from Tony Arnold at LR fasteners in the 
UK. It is not an extruded section but rather a flat strip that is sort 
of putty like and stretchy. When the glass is all installed in the 
frame, you simply trim the excess using a Stanley knife or similar. It 
is a fiddly operation, the second time (and third) you do it is much 
easier. Definitely not like installing a modern windscreen with a 
moulded extrusion.
