Subject: SER1 Restoring steering wheel
Hi,
Here's another question, as I said in an earlier post I am restoring a
steering wheel for my series 1. I have cleaned the rim and will fill the
cracks with filler and sand it smooth. I would then like to bring the rim
back to its original nice shiny black colour.
Has anyone got any suggestions how this can be done, does simply painting
it black work OK, is there a good type of paint you can recommend.
Alternatively does anyone know of any other substances that will do this
job?
Thanks for any advice.
Tony Boyle.
