Hi Alex,
my chassis (80" of 1951) looks a lot like yours, from what can be judged =
by your pics; I am also sandblasting it (should it ever get through, =
which is unlikely, better so: you can then fix it with a new piece of =
iron) and then I want to galvanize it; the problem is how to clean it =
thoroughly inside from 50 years of all sort of oils mixed with dirt of =
all kind as well as sand from sandblasting: this is a problem I still =
have not resolved, too.

  Hello All

  =20

  Land Rover Series 1 1953

  =20

What would be the best way of restoring the chassis?=20

There is lots of surface rust but it's not bad. I am going to sand =
blast it but will that get inside the chassis?

  =20

  Here are some Photos

  =20

  Another question

  =20

How do I remove the old fashioned rivets?

  =20

  Thanks=20
