Hi all,
Thanks for the witty replies to my 1857 LR question - being almost 100 years
older than any other must mean it is a rare pre-production prototype built
my great-great-grandad Wilks!!
Next question is to do with cleaning the sludge from the engine waterways.
The rad has gone off to be recored as it was leaking from an old repair
anyway, and so the engine needs to be cleaned internally to avoid the sludge
going into the new core. I have backflushed with a hose and got a lot out,
but am wondering what household/alternative products there are to flush through
so it doesn't cost me a fortune in bottles of branded rad cleaners. Would
I be best removing the core plugs and sticking a pressure washer in there?
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!
