I agree totally with what your sentiments show - there is a BIG difference
between making a quick profit in this way and being able to have lists in
the garage and it doesnt matter if they get grubby!!!

I personally agree with this,  I not only have downloads which I can
print out and get grubby and oily in the garage, I have the reprint (by
Brooklands books for Land Rover) 1948-53 parts catalogue etc.

I have in recent years also bought (surprisingly cheaply from ebay)
original 1950's parts, workshop, sales and operations manuals which I
keep clean and use in the house for reference.

I think there is a big difference between a group of enthusiasts like
this using and sharing resources to people sticking them all on a CD
and selling it on ebay.

PS Stewart - saw some great daily driver Series 1's still at work  (107
with a home brew flatbed pickup in use by a local boatman )  in Stewart
Island NZ, if you are ever down off south of the South Island :-)
