I'm sure that the original 'First Overland' team members would be
fascinated to hear more about the recent Oxford-to-Cambridge (NZ)
commemorative trip, and Mike's plans to restore an 88" SW to suitable
livery (but will it be Oxford or Cambridge? Perhaps one side light blue
and the other dark?).
If you'd like to post more details, Mike (or send to me direct) I'll be
happy to pass them on to BB and the others.
And a reminder to those who can make it to the Royal Geographical
Society in Kensington on Friday evening, November 25th, that there are
free tickets available for the event that will re-launch the reprint of
the 'First Overland' book. All 5 surviving members of the team will be
making presentations, or commenting on extracts from BB's original film,
and Sir David Attenborough will also be taking part. Contact me off
list (overland@xxxxxxx.xx.xx) and I'll put you in touch with BB who's
handling the tickets. Hurry!
