<P>me and my technical english, but I try to explain. This is the german text, maybe Ulrico or Tom can translate it. </P>
<P>The contactfree Ignition is not as good and durable as You think, the first time everything is fine but later on you will have ignition problems, too.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;inner parts&nbsp;have the same mechanical abrasion, vacuumadjusting and centrifugaladjustung is the same original and they need&nbsp; a liitle bit attention, time to time an oildrop. This can´t change with a petronix or an other contactfree ignition system. So it´s cheaper and easier once a year for 4-5 EUR new contacts and some minutes attention and now count the years for the price of a petronix .....<BR></P>
<P>In meinem Bekanntenkreis haben Leute schon vor 10-15 Jahren derartige kontaktlose Umbausaetze verarbeitet. Erst war das toll, aber dann im Laufe der Jahre kamen doch wieder Zündprobleme auf ... und die gleichen Leute haben bei späteren Restaurationen dann sowas gar nicht mehr verwendet&nbsp;<BR> Die Zündanlage mitnichten, aber eben auch der Verteiler nicht: von wartungsfrei kann keine Rede sein. Zwar fällt das lästige Gehampel mit dem Unterbrecherkontakt weg, aber Unterdruckverstellung und Fliehkraftverstellung sind weiterhin die Originaleinrichtungen. Und die bedürfen von Zeit zu Zeit Aufmerksamkeit, einem Tropfen Oel, und sie unterliegen trotzdem mechanischem Verschleiss. Daran ändert keines dieser Systeme etwas. Sonst wärs eine Kennfeldzündung.<BR><BR>Einmal im Jahr neue Unterbrecherkontakte reinhauen, ca. 4-5 EUR, ist auch nicht so der Akt, oder? So, und jetzt rechnet mal wieviel Jahre ........</P>
