Hello Uli and All,

This does sound like a very good idea, but as Diana
suggested I would certainly make sure that there is
commitment from buyers before ordering! I would also
suggest that you have seen a production 'prototype' in
your hands before ordering a complete batch - just
because a company SAYS it will look perfect does not
do you a lot of good when 1000 replicas show up that
you are not happy with!

A good way to generate some commited sales might be to
contact suppliers: Dunsfold, Craddock's, etc.. in the
UK, Atlantic British, Rovers North, etc.. in the US,
Rover Park Boys (Wise Owl) in Canada - and I'm sure
there are many in Australia and elsewhere that I am
not familiar with! The Series I crowd can probably
make some good suggestions in that regard. The
official Series I Club has a shop too, and an advert
in Legend might generate private buyer interest.

Personally, I have at least one that needs a
replacement, and maybe one other in the family, so I
would be in for a couple myself.

Thanks, take care!

---------------------------------

Clear wine to the communitiy. Last night I couldn´t
sleep, so I contacted some manufacturers in Taiwan
until 4 o´clock in the morning with the first answers
this morning.
I can get the steering wheel center as the rebuilt
original( same as at ebay.co.uk at the moment for
190GBP)incl. shipping and toll for about 55Euros/p.p.
until Germany- but one charge within the next 2 month
of 1000 pieces. That will cost me roundabout
55000Euros incl. everything and then I´m the proud
owner of 1000 steeringwheel centers in Germany. I
guess we´ll have the need of around 500-700 pieces
worldwide and they´re willing to pay max. 100Euros for
it. So 1000x55 = 55000 versus 500/600x 100= ~ 55000 is
a risk deal without profit. So I won´t make it until
You´ll give me other parameters.
Cheers
Uli
