Keith,

I believe they get too many problems with product liability if they send
stuff over here as a trader, there are way too many people ready to sue
this side of the Atlantic so no one in the UK can get insurers to cover
them at reasonable rates.

If you look in the 'Series One Garage' under 'reference docs' there is a
pdf document of the later workshop manual it has some gaps on the 80's but
with this and common sense you can figure it all out. Parts catalogue is
also their and you will find that indespensable.

S1 magazine, Legend is worth the subscription alone for the pics and
articles, there are ads from club members and many suppliers some of whom
will send stuff across, technical officers are also an invaluable source of
help.

48-53 register is also a good source of information on 80's and their
peculiarities as is the John Taylor book if you can find a copy.

I tend to pick stuff up when I go back to the UK, but am unlikely to go
overe earlier than June. 
I may be able to persuade my sister to act as a UK postal adress if you are
desperate and willing to pay costs and take the postal risk. 
There may be some problems with credit card purchases mailed to a 3rd
party, you would have to check on this first..
