Hello Ed,

I have made a flatter elbow for my 2.25 conversion.  My pics are in the SOG 
under gudjeon where there is some examples.  I used the Zenith Carb with the 
insulator spacer.  My replacement elbow was made about an inch wider all 
around to help compensate for the less efficient shape.  I have seen this 
shape used on older North american vehicles so it should still be capable of 
breathing.  I made mine with the round inlet so I can hook up a regular 
round hose - I no longer have the original, flatter one.

I forgot to mention the exhaust system.  I replaced my entire system with 
the standard series 2a system for the 88".  It fits like it was meant to be 
there.

The list is not too daunting, once you have everything lined up ahead of 
time.
