This is only really relevant to the members in the UK:-
Inspired by the recent articles in Legend about LeJog, I have decided to
travel from Lands End to John O'Groats in my 1950 80" Land Rover as part of
my 40th year birthday challenges.
The personal challenges that I have managed to complete so far this year
have been the Kirklees Way, a 72 mile circular walk and the 10Km Great
Manchester Run, next week I shall be doing the 140 mile C2C, coast to coast
via bike followed by sailing the Fastnet route, 8 nights on a 72 foot BT
Challenge boat.
I am on target to raise £5000 for 5 different charities.
The Land Rover trip will start at 8:30am at Lands End on 1 October 2004 and
will wind up the country mainly via A roads to John O'Groats. We are
planning a leisurely schedule with three overnight stops in B&B
accommodation.
If any other adventurers want to join us with their Series ones they would
be very welcome, for further details please contact myself on 07802 613172
or via email martin_dyson@xxxxxxxx.xxx
It would be great if each crew could raise £250 in sponsorship.
Money raised from this challenge goes to The Anthony Nolan Trust - Leukaemia
research.
