Hi,

The second bench in my 107" SW is in a fairly good condition. But I am
wondering if mine is correct bacause I cannot seem to get it to fold
down and become a bed as illustrated in the literature. I know that the
bench frame is correct but I have a suspision that the bottom part of
the bench might be too thick. The seat part on mine is much thicker
than the backrest part and might cause it not to fold down properly. On
the other hand, I might just be too stupid to "make the bed". Any tips
would be appreciated.......

Helge-

I restored my 107SW about 4 years ago. I used Exmoor trim to do all the
seats in my truck. I was lucky to have all the seats except for the
"way back" inward facing jump seats. Those I sourced from Exmoor in the
same fabric as the rest of the interior. The middle bench seat was just
re-upholstered with material they provided. The front seats bases were
new reproduction seats from Exmoor and the front seat back was
re-upholstered with the same material. Since I'm in the States, they
just sent along the material and upholstered the seats myself and they
sent along the finished front seat bottoms. They were also able to
supply the correct shape and size door trim and arm rests common to the
5 doors. Interestingly, the middle bench seat is the same as the later
109s, from what I can tell, as the 107. I guess what I'm getting at is
that they were able to make it happen for me pretty easily.

Good Luck.
