Diana,
My first was an ex-mod RHD 1950 that someone brought in to California with
a number of others. (probably included the one that Michael Carradine has)
And that was about 30 years ago. At the time in my job with IBM service, I
had the warehouse in South San Francisco in my territory.
Even before they changed to British Leyland. When I rebuilt the engine it
had .040 pistons from the army rebuild. Leyland found the exhaust valves by
scanning several warehouses in the US, but couldn't find any rings. An
antique rebuilder that they turned me on to in San Francisco called
Hastings Rings in Michigan who tooled up and made a set of rings for me. I
had them in hand one week later. At a very good price.
