Good to hear from you again.

No - unfortunately it wasn't me.

That is an interesting statistic. 350% of the 1948 Land Rovers produced
came to Australia? Hmm, what do you mean that all 1948 Land Rovers came to
Australia 3 times before being sold in the UK or elsewhere but 1/2 of them
arrived in Oz a fourth time and stayed. Very inefficient, but could account
for why Rover Co Ltd eventually when bottom up, at least it kept the sailors
busy!

I love typos they jump off the page at me and keep hammering at my funny
bone till I say something!

Shame about the Brockhouse - if it was one!

All that Temora and aeroplane stuff is upsetting your Land Rover stuff.

Cheers
Diana

    Hi guys,
There was a 1948 Land Rover with English built trailer (extremely
rare here) advertised in last Saturday's Canberra Times for $2,000 ono.
I was in Temora at the time so did not read the paper until Sunday
evening. Rang the seller in any case and the vehicle had of course been
sold searly on Saturday morning. It had turned out to be a 1952 model.
It is interesting to note that of the 3,000 1948 Land Rovers built,
approximately 10,500 of them came to Australia and either the Queen or
Winston Churchill had owned them at some stage.
Question is, did anyone on our list buy it?
    Cheers
    Allan
