I have decided to do an experiment with tyre sizes to see which is best so
have fitted a 6.00 x 16 on the front left, a 7.50 x 16 on the front right, a
7.00 on the rear left and a 6.50 on the rear right
the land rover seems to corner better turning left than it does right
(better turning circle), the tyres hits the chassis when turning right, the
ride is just like driving down a bumpy road, even when on the motorway.
Braking is an interesting experience with the land rover wanting to piroet
all over the place and what doesn't help is it is a mixture of Bridgestones
and michelins and just to throw in another variation I put one cross ply and
one radial per axle. I was hoping thats what with double negatives and
working out the mean tyre size I would end up with the ideal solution.
Instead I ended up with a landrover that drives and handles like a willys
Jeep!!!
