    In the light of the comment "driving at 85kmph would be very nice",
you will not be able to maitain that speed in a standard 80" even with
7.50x16 tyres it will lose speed on the smallest gradient. If it is a
problem to you, refer to my previous comment, sell it and buy something
faster.
    We do not have slow lanes here as such, trucks are suposedly limited
to 100kmh. usually cruise at 110+km (and many of them weigh around 60
tons). Stay off the highways and try to enjoy your Minerva in an
environment that it was designed for. If I take any of my 80" fleet
anywhere, I avoid the highways totally except where there is no option
than to drive on them. Most of us drive these vehicles for pleasure and
I find no pleasure in running at just about maximum possible revs. and
with a totally intollerable noise level just to try to keep up with the
traffic.
    If you really must go the 7.50x16 route; the reason for the stated
7.00x16 limit is that wider rims should be used for anything larger. Get
hold of a set of rims from a LWB Series IIa, III etc. to mount the 750s on.
