I just took one of the diffs apart. Tomorrow they will be cleaned and
measured and then I will have a look at things in detail.

Also, to answer your question: later bearings are a different dimension; you
will need to change the differential housing to use later bearings.

US $70.25, if you can't find anything else.

One of the bearings for the diff pinion seems to be obsolete, 219550. Would
anybody know whether the bearing from later vehicles would fit?
The bearing for the rear hub 07296 as well seems to be obsolete. Craddocks
online catalogue shows a rear wheel bearing 1948-58, 270604. Is this the
same? I can't find that part number in the workshop manual for the SI.
