Ulrico,
On the wheel bearing, I checked my reprint Series I parts book, manual
part #4107 for 1954-1958. It does not have a part number 07296, but
does have the 270604 listed as the "bearing for rear hub" for
semi-floating axles. However, 07295 is the "sleeve for oil seal" next
to it, and 07297 is the "hub retaining collar", so it appears that
270605 may be the superseded number for a 07295. You will need the
07297 retaining collar if you remove the bearing as it is advisable not
to reuse it. The 07295 is the sleeve for the oil seal, and may be
beneficial to replace also if your old one has a groove from wear.

One of the bearings for the diff pinion seems to be obsolete, 219550.
Would anybody know whether the bearing from later vehicles would fit?
=20
The bearing for the rear hub 07296 as well seems to be obsolete.
Craddocks online catalogue shows a rear wheel bearing 1948-58, 270604.
Is this the same? I can't find that part number in the workshop manual
for the SI.

Cheers, Ulrico
